Fastline Superbikes are pleased to offer this stunning and totally standard Laverda RGS1000 Executive with very low mileage. Numbers produced not exactly known but less than 50 rolled off the production line. Totally genuine machine and got to be one of the lowest milage, 4183km = 2599 miles, available. All paintwork original, had a few parts rechromed including the fork stanchions due to light pitting. Improved instrument lighting in clocks with LED bulbs fitted. The bike has sat most of its life in a collector's museum in Japan, where it was sold new. The Japanese market was one of the few places where sales were achieved for an overpriced motorcycle, even had the original Pirelli Phantom tyres when purchased with date stamp 1983. As part of the light recommissioning work new Bridgestone BT46 tyres were fitted along with a 530 chain & sprockets, valve clearances checked and all correct and photographed inside of camshaft cover, which was not stained and as new after 40 years. The clutch springs are a weakness on these models so new springs have been fitted and the backplate springs reassembled with Loctite. Absolutely stunning all round machine.
